Surpassing its year-end targets, SunExpress awarded its 4th million passenger carried this year.
Reaching its 2008 year-end passenger target just in the middle of December, SunExpress, awarded its 4th million passenger. The 4th million passenger of SunExpress, Merve Ceylan Progl boarded to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen – Munich flight on December 18. SunExpress awarded its passenger with 5 round way international tickets during a ceremony held in Sabiha Gökçen International Airport.

Use of Portable Electronic Devices (PED)

It is forbidden to use any electronic device during ‘take-off and landing’ except the heart pace
makers, hearing aids and electronic watches.
Devices that can be used at any time:
• Devices powered by micro battery cells
• Devices powered by solar cells
• Electric watches (also with DCF receiver)
• Hearing aids (including digital devices)
• Pager (only receivers)
• Heart pace makers
Devices limited to be used on ground before engine-start or after engine-shut-down:
• Special cellular phones for the flight crew (Handy)
• Private mobile phones from passengers in special situations (i.e. delays) if approved by
the commander
Devices limited to be used in cruise flight:
• Laptops with CD-ROM or DVD Drives
• Palmtops, organizers
• Handheld calculators having no printers
• CD-player, mini disk-player and MP3-player (i.e. discman)
• Audio magnetic tape reproducers (i.e. walkman)
• Computer games (i.e. game boy)
• Video cameras and recorder (also digital)
• Digital cameras
• Display units (except cathode ray tubes)
• GPS handheld receivers
• Electric shavers
• Electronic toys (i.e. Furby)
Devices forbidden to be used at all times in the aircraft:
• Devices transmitting RF intentionally
• Cellular/mobile phones (exception: Capt. decision)
• Walkie-talkies
• Remote controlled toys
• Display units with cathode ray tubes
• Wireless computer equipment (mouse)
• PC-printers
• CD-writers and mini-disk-recorder in recording mode
• Big portable stereo sets
Pocket radios (AM/FM)
• TV-receivers
• Telemetric-equipment
• Blue tooth devices
Devices forbidden to use at all times in cruise flight:
• Cellular/mobile phones (exceptional cases captain decision needed)
• Devices transmitting radio frequency (Walkie Talkies, etc.)
• Any kind of printer or receiver (TV/Radio, portable stereo sets, GPS, etc.)
• Wireless computer equipments (mouse, wireless network connection, etc.)CD/DVD writers
and mini disk recorders in record mode
• Bluetooth and infrared using devices
• GSM modems
• Remote controlled toys
• Telemetric equipments (electronic distance counter)
• Any electronic device with ‘Flight Mode’
Devices permitted to use in cruise flight after ‘Fasten Seat Belts’ signs are ‘OFF’:
• Laptops without printer (CD/DVD drivers recording mode and TV/radio receivers must be
OFF)
• Display units with LCD,
• Palmtop, Organizer
• CD/VCD/DVD/MP3 and cassette player (radio mode must be OFF)
• Normal or digital photo and video camera
• Computer games/toys without transmitter
• Calculator (without printer)
• Electric shaver
Devices for which a single case decision must be obtained from the relevant
engineering organization:
• Electronic medical support equipments
• All devices not aforementioned above
